Your Union » NUS Card
What is the NUS card?
To gain all the discounts that the NUS offer us as students, you will need to collect your NUSONLINE card. This card is issued to students whose local Student Union issue their own student card. This card can be found at your Student Union.
The difference between your student card issued by the University and the NUSONLINE card is a unique 18–digit number. This unique number and card are the amazing things that get you the discount at stores like HMV and Habitat. The NUSONLINE card is only valid when presented with valid student photo ID.
How to register your NUS card
To register your NUSONLINE card all you need to do is go to their website and fill in your details.
Once you have done this, all the things you ever dreamed of can come true. Cheaper kebabs, cheaper clothes, cheaper music and there is even more now that you’ve registered.
The NUS will now keep you up to date on their latest campaigns, the latest student news and the latest shenanigans in the political world that are effecting students.
Remember, knowledge is power.
Are Part-time students eligible for a card?
All students, whether full or part time, will be able to receive the NUS card.
With this card, the power of the discount is unlocked. What kind of Union would we be if only certain members got the benefits?
Don’t say it!
What happens if I lose my card?
Fear not, the discount is still yours. All you need to do is let the NUS know via their website.
Then, come down to your local, friendly Student’s Union and ask at reception for your replacement card.
Don’t forget to bring your University card with you.
If you’re on a Placement year
As long as you’re still enrolled as a student you can obtain the magical plastic that brings joy in to the life of many.
However, you must come down to the Student’s Union to collect it.
